Manchester City are reported to be one of the front runners in the race for French wonderkid Kylian Mbappe according to Duncan Castles of Yahoo!. City are considered to be one of the few clubs who could afford the asking price set by AS Monaco which could be as high as €130m (£110m).
The world record breaking fee would see City fight off opposition from Real Madrid, Barcelona and more for his signature. Monaco have rejected every bid for the teenager so far but a figure this high would surely be enough to prize the player from the French club.
Mbappe has put in some seriously strong performances this season with 21 goals and 11 assists in 34 games, bagging 4 goals so far in the Champions League – including 2 scored against City.
With other stars such as Alexis Sanchez being linked with the Blues and a host of attacking talent already at the club or on loan it is likely that – if this move were to go through – then there would be a few outgoings in the summer.
One thing is for sure. Pep has attributed a lot of our misfortune this season to missed chances and Mbappe would be seen as a solution to that problem.
For a limited time, you can get your hands on a Manchester City official shirt from just £30 for adults and £22.50 for children.
