Samir Nasri’s future has become unclear after it emerged that Sevilla would not be a plausible option, according to Goal.
Samir Nasri has enjoyed a fine spell on loan at the Spanish club but the report claims that Nasri has no place in Pep Guardiola’s side next season. The Manchester City loanee was earlier reported today to have sold his Chesire mansion as it has become increasingly clear that he will not return to City this summer.
Interestingly though, Goal are reporting that it is unlikely that Sevilla will activate his €25m option-to-buy clause despite Nasri being keen on staying in Seville. Goal suggest that Sevilla “would find it difficult” to stump up such a fee while also taking on Samir Nasri’s enormous €7m-a-year wages which works out as over £100,000 a week.
Instead, Sevilla will focus their efforts on bringing back club hero Jesus Navas whose contract expires this summer.
