Back in November, we learned that Manchester City’s 2017/18 home shirt will feature maroon, a tone familiar in the club’s history but less so in the home shirts than away.
Further details have emerged today courtesy of Footy Headlines that in addition to the home kit featuring a type of red for the first time in more than five years, the club will return to white shorts for next season.
To summarise: Sky blue, white and maroon in the shirt, white shorts and sky blue socks.
And after the announcement of a new sleeve sponsor, the new home shirt will feature the Nexen Tire logo on the sleeves after Manchester City became the first Premier League team to sign a sleeve sponsorship deal.
Navy will be used for the Nike and Etihad logos on the new kit. The kit will be based on a slightly updated edition of Nike’s Vapor template.
The 2017/18 home kit is expected to be released in early July 2017.
