Referee appointed for Manchester City vs. Liverpool

Michael Oliver has been given the whistle for Manchester City’s game against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.

The two sides meet on Sunday in a six-pointer, as Liverpool could leapfrog the home side with a victory, although Manchester City have a game in hand.

Oliver hasn’t been a brilliant omen for Manchester City so far this season, in the three games he has taken charge, Pep Guardiola’s side have won one, drawn one and lost one.

The most recent being the FA Cup victory against West Ham United back in January, before that a 4-2 loss at the hands of Leicester City and then a home draw to Everton.

In those games Oliver has liked to keep his cards in his pocket, handing out just one yellow card to Manchester City players.

The full list of officials for the game against Liverpool are:

Referee: Michael Oliver
Assistants: Stuart Burt, Stephen Child
Fourth official: Craig Pawson

Until the end of March, the City Store is marking down some iconic Retro Shirts to £20 (£18 for Cityzens).

Make sure you grab one!
