Manchester City star wins Champions League Player of the Week

Raheem Sterling has been on fire so far this season and he’s firmly cementing his place as one of the best young attacking players in Europe, maybe the world.

Another high-quality performance against Monaco in the Champions League this week has earned him a spot in the WhoScored Team of the Week, however, he has now been awarded the official Champions League Player of the Week.

With a goal and an assist to his name on Tuesday night, Raheem Sterling was at the centre of Manchester City’s strong attack which put 5 past Monaco, with defenders struggling to deal with his blistering pace.

Sterling opened the scoring after a ball across from Leroy Sané, before later assisting Sergio Aguero for City’s equaliser.
