Gabriel Jesus underwent surgery on a broken fifth metatarsal on Thursday night in Barcelona according to reports, and now Manchester City have confirmed the news.
Reports yesterday suggested that Pep Guardiola’s most trusted doctor, the esteemed orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Ramón Cugat, performed successful surgery on the 19-year-old’s right foot after a consultation in Barcelona.
Gabriel Jesus will remain under care in the Spanish city for two days before being discharged from hospital.
The prediction is that the youngster will be out of action for two to three months, and City fans will be hoping it is closer to two than three months.
