Manchester City to face Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup Fifth Round

Manchester City will face Huddersfield Town away at the Kirklees Stadium in the FA Cup Fifth Round.

After Premier League opposition in the third and fourth rounds of the prestigious cup competition, City take on the Championship’s fifth placed team in the next round.

Coached by 45-year-old German, David Wagner, Huddersfield got off to a flying start to the season before a poor run of form in October and November set them back. The Terriers have recovered from that and have lost just one of their last eleven games, keeping them in contention for promotion to the Premier League.

One of Huddersfield’s star players this season has been Manchester City-owned midfielder Aaron Mooy, and reports today have claimed that City have rejected a £9 million bid from an unnamed club for him, suggesting he could be in City’s future plans.

Australian intenational Mooy will be not be allowed to face his parent club in this game, as per FA Cup rules. The match is due to take place on Saturday 18 February unless it is moved for TV broadcasting.
