Referees for Manchester City’s next two games have been announced today. At the moment, everything seems to be going against the Blues, at least in the eyes of Pep Guardiola and many fans, but luckily neither Anthony Taylor or Andre Marriner will take the whistle for upcoming fixtures.
City travel to Selhurst Park for an FA Cup tie with Crystal Palace this Saturday and Mike Jones will be in charge of that game. He was the fourth official in last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Spurs, with his last main appointment for a City game coming in April, when he oversaw City’s 2-1 win over West Brom at the Etihad.
Full appointments for Saturday’s FA Cup tie:
Referee: Michael Jones
Assistants: D Cann, A Halliday
Fourth official: Andy Davies
After that is another trip to the London Stadium, where City recently thrashed West Ham in the FA Cup. This time it will be a Premier League encounter, with Kevin Friend in charge. He was the official for City’s 2-0 win over Watford at the Etihad in mid-December.
Full appointments for the February 1 clash with West Ham:
Referee: Kevin Friend
Assistants: A Nunn, D Cann
Fourth official: J Moss
