Everton vs. Manchester City: Starting Lineups & TV Information

Manchester City return to Merseyside after the New Year’s Eve defeat to Liverpool, hoping to defeat Liverpool’s neighbours Everton and keep their title hopes alive. City’s have won five of their last six games in all competitions, the only defeat being that trip to Anfield, and are in good form after the FA Cup destruction of West Ham nine days ago.

This afternoon the Blues face an Everton side in mixed form, including two losses in their last three games at Goodison Park. Pep Guardiola’s side will hope to exploit that, but the additions of new boys Morgan Schneiderlin and Ademola Lookman could provide additional quality to today’s opposition.

Mark Clatterburg is today’s referee and here are how the two managers, who are good friends going back to their days at Barcelona, have lined up their teams:

Everton XI: Joel, Baines, Williams, Funes Mori, Holgate, Coleman, Barry (c), Davies, Mirallas, Barkley, Lukaku

Manchester City XI: Bravo, Sagna, Stones, Otamendi, Clichy, Yaya Touré, Zabaleta, De Bruyne, Sterling, Silva, Aguero

Today’s match can be viewed on Sky Sports 1 in the UK. A full list of TV coverage from around the world can be found here.
