Young talent swaps Manchester for Fleetwood permanently

George Glendon has officially signed for Fleetwood Town on a permanent basis after a successful loan deal.

The 21-year-old has featured 16 times this season in which he has scored 2 goals, impressing Uwe Rosler and the management team.

Glendon was due to return to Manchester City this January after his loan deal expired, however the clubs have seen it fit to make the transfer a permanent one.

Glendon won the fans December player of the month so it’s sure to be a popular move for the Cod Army.

Uwe Rosler said the following about his new signing: “We are delighted to make that loan move permanent.

“There’s far more to come, there’s a lot of potential in him and that is our strategy, to sign players on loan, find out if they’re suiting us and we suit them, and going into partnership.

“I’m very, very happy and looking forward to working with Glenno.”
