Manchester City scouts were spotted at Celta Vigo’s 3-1 victory over Malaga on Sunday as they watched as many as three players.
The scouts were eyeing up 21-year-old goalkeeper Rubén Blanco, 22-year-old left-back and right-back Jonny Castro and 21-year-old forward Theo Bongonda.
Rubén Blanco is a 21-year-old Spanish goalkeeper that has staked a claim for a place in the first team this season. He’s made 11 appearances in the current campaign where he has only notched up 1 cleansheet. He has a pass success rate of below 50% which isn’t likely to impress Pep Guardiola.
Jonny Castro is a 22-year-old defender capable of playing either left-back or right-back, although he has mainly featured on the left-hand sie for Celta Vigo this season. He has a pass success rate of 82.9% in his 21 appearances this season and has managed 3 assists.
Theo Bongonda is a 21-year-old forward who has mainly played on the left side for Celta Vigo during his 20 appearances, where he has scored 1 goal and accumulated 3 assists. He takes on 0.8 shots a game on average and has a pass success rate of 80.6%.
