Gabriel Jesus has flown out from Brazil to Manchester to begin the next stage of an already eventful career.

In 2016, the 19-year-old Brazil international inspired Palmeiras to their first league title win since 1994 and not only won a call-up to the Brazilian senior squad, he was handed the iconic number 9 shirt.

The £27 million man also joined Manchester City last summer, but only half a season later will we get to see him wear the sky blue of City, as he prepares to join Pep Guardiola’s squad and add more firepower to a side that has been profligate in front of goal at times this season.

Gabriel Jesus’ brother posted a picture of the family flying to Manchester on Instagram in the last hour. Expect the full red carpet treatment from City’s official coverage in the coming days.
