Leroy Sané has explained to MEN Sport how it has been difficult to break into the Manchester City team due to injuries, but is working hard to improve.

On Sunday, Sané scored his first Manchester City goal in a 2-1 victory over Arsenal, and now he’s striving to improve upon that in the future:

“Naturally I’m delighted to score my first goal. Being injured was tough but I have confidence in my own abilities.

“I know there will be more to come, more to give to this team and I am working hard at that, striving to improve throughout.

“It has been quite difficult coming in injured, and also coming to a new country and a new league, and settling in, but then trying to establish myself in the team.

“From that point on it’s been about trying to break into the team, hit the ground running, play with all these incredible players and try to do a great job for the side.”
