Manchester City’s academy continues to flourish and we’re already starting to see the results in the first team, with Kelechi Iheanacho making a full breakthrough, and others on the periphery and getting the occasional chance.

Much of the excitement within the club surrounds the currently group of 16 to 18 year olds, and City’s under-18s side today completed a remarkable year when they defeated Stoke 5-2.

The young Blues went through 2016 without losing a SINGLE league game! The team finished the year with 20 wins, 6 draws and 0 defeats, showing the gold mine of talent City have in that age group.

Today’s win over Stoke featured five different goal scorers in the form of Ian Carlo Poveda, Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden, Joe Hardy and Swiss youngster Lorenzo Gonzalez.

Congratulations to City’s under-18s on a successful, title-winning year!
