Manchester City rival Italian giants for one of Italy’s ‘best young players’

Manchester City’s scouting network is spread all across the world, working around the clock to identify talents for the present and future.

And the future looks very bright with the City Football Academy boasting some of football’s best young prospects across the various age group, both local and imported.

Another talent who could soon join the CFA is young Genoa striker, Pietro Pellegri, with City ready to rival Serie A’s best clubs for the 15-year-old sensation according to TMW.

Pellegri is considered not only one of Genoa’s brightest talents, but one of the best players in Italy in his age group, and he is attracting plenty of interest. TMW claims that City, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter are all preparing significant offers for the Italy under-17 international.

The striker, who was born in 2001, is so highly-rated at Genoa that first-team boss Ivan Jurić is considering giving him a taste of senior football, which could help I Rossoblu convince him to turn down offers from bigger clubs.

City aim to recruit the world’s best talent in EVERY age group with a long-term target of having a strong home-grown presence in the first-team squad. Pietro Pellegri could soon join the ranks, but City face local competition for the wonderkid.
