They won the 2013-14 Premier League title together in Manuel Pellegrini’s memorable first season at Manchester City, and today Balkan trio Edin Džeko, Aleksandar Kolarov and Stevan Jovetić reunited over dinner.
The three were good friends while at City and Jovetić today posted a picture of their meeting on his Instagram account. No doubt many fond memories were shared of their time together at City!
Džeko now plays for Roma and after a difficult first season in the Italian capital, has become one of Italy’s most lethal hitmen, scoring 17 goals in just 20 appearances for the Giallorossi so far this season.
Unfortunately for Jovetić, also plying his trade in Serie A, his time at Inter has been disappointing with no signs of improving. The Montenegrin has scored just 7 goals in 32 appearances and has been out of favour with several coaches. This season he has made just four appearances in the league to date, and has been linked with a move away.
Kolarov remains on the books at City and found a new lease of life as a left-sided centre-back under Pep Guardiola, while also regularly playing in his natural left-back position.
