Manchester City’s 2017/18 home kit design by Nike is in for a shake-up with the inclusion of red detailing, according to exclusive information from the ever-reliable Footy Headlines.
Next season’s home shirt will combine the traditional sky blue, white, but more unusually, maroon. Maroon is a part of City’s kit history, with the 1956 FA Cup winning side having won it, and Umbro’s 2012/13 away kit using that colour.
However, next year’s kit will see the rare inclusion of a maroon tone on the home shirt. Navy will be used for the Nike and Etihad logos on the new kit. No template details are known yet, but it could be an updated edition of Nike’s Vapor template.
The 2017/18 home kit is expected to be released in early July 2017, but these are the first details to have been released.
