Gabriel Jesus is already exciting Manchester City fans and hasn’t even put on the sky blue shirt yet. He remains at Palmeiras but is due to join up with his new City teammates in January after joining for £27 million in the summer.
Like so many City players, he is currently on international duty and tonight started up front for Brazil against Bolivia. The hosts put Bolivia to the sword with a clinical display and Gabriel Jesus scored the fourth goal, getting on the end of a Neymar pass and cutely chipping the ball over Bolivia goalkeeper Carlos Lampe. The match finished 5-0 to the rampant Brazilians.
This was Gabriel Jesus’ third goal in three games for the senior Brazil side and City look to have signed one of the world’s most promising young talents. The 19-year-old also assisted the opener, scored by Neymar.
City midfield ace Fernandinho also featured for the Seleção, having been recalled to national team by new coach Tite.
