Time to catch up on today’s news – here’s your City Summary:

After missing out on yesterday’s fantastic win against Manchester United, The Sun claim that Ilkay Gündoğan could make his first City appearance against Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola is clearly looking forward to the German’s recovery, while he states that Vincent Kompany’s return from injury will also be a big boost to City’s title chances.

Guardiola claims that City have figured out the source of Kompany’s injury troubles, and that he is nearing a return.

Gladbach have not been so lucky ahead of Tuesday’s game, as one of their star players has been ruled out through injury.

The man in the middle for Tuesday’s game has been selected. Dutch referee Björn Kuipers has been in charge of a number of City games in the past, and also took charge of the Champions League Final in 2014.

The Mirror claim that Sir Alex Ferguson went out of his way to congratulate Pep Guardiola after Saturday’s game.

Aleix Garcia came close to making his first competitive appearance for the club yesterday when he was named on the bench at Old Trafford. The MEN report that he is one of five EDS players that have been promoted to the first team by Pep Guardiola.

Those five spaces have been freed up by a number of senior players leaving the club on loan. Joe Hart and Eliaquim Mangala were among those to depart the club on Deadline Day, and both had a debut to forget for their new clubs, Torino and Valencia respectively.
