Manchester City will begin their defence of the EFL Cup against Swansea City in the third round.
City drew the Welsh side out of the hat in tonight’s draw and will travel to the Liberty Stadium during the week of September 19.
City won last season’s Football League Cup, then called the Capital One Cup, and it has been rebranded to the EFL Cup this year. The Blues will be hoping for another good run under Guardiola and a third League Cup in the past four seasons.
