Two of Manchester City’s homegrown prospects, Brandon Barker and Kean Bryan, are on the verge of loan moves to City Football Group partner club NAC Breda, according to BN DeStem in the Netherlands.
19-year-old winger Barker, who featured against Bayern Munich in City’s pre-season friendly at the Allianz Arena, will be the first to join fellow City talents Ashley Smith-Brown and Thomas Agyepong at the Rat Verlegh Stadion. Because of the increasing amount of competition on the flanks at City, the club decided to loan the England U20 international out, and he could make his debut for NAC against Achilles ’29 this month.
Joining Barker at the Dutch second division side once he recovers from an injury will be City EDS captain, Kean Bryan. 19-year-old Bryan can play as a midfielder or defender, but according to the report it sounds like NAC will use him as a centre-back, because they had previously wanted fellow local boy, Tosin Adarabioyo, but Pep Guardiola was so impressed by him that he decided against sanctioning a loan move for the time being.
Armed with four bright young talents from Manchester City, NAC Breda will be confident of making another promotion push after narrowly missing out on the Eredivisie last season, losing to Willem II in the play-off final.
