City Summary – July 18: City sign Rulli, enquiry made for Higuain, Bellerín tempted by Pep

The City Summary returns at the start of a new week, as we give you a round-up of all of the day’s news.

City have today completed the signing of Gerónimo Rulli according to major Argentina sports source, TyC Sport. And, as expected, he’ll be heading out on loan.

Mundo Deportivo have today linked City to young Arsenal full back, Hector Bellerin.

Any deal for Bellerín would inevitably be very difficult, but MD say that there is a chance of the transfer going through.

City want an Arsenal defender and Arsenal want a City defender… swapsies?

Italian outlet, Calciomercato, report that City are interested in Argentine forward, Gonzalo Higuain. The link does seem slightly far-fetched however, given Napoli’s reluctance to let the striker leave for less than his £78.5 million release clause.

Earlier today, Leroy Sané’s father gave City fans a reason to worry as he claimed that other clubs were still in the mix to sign the winger.

Although, this claim seems to just be a negotiation tactic in order to push the deal through.

Another deal for a young winger is getting very close to completion. Cadena SER state that Marlos Moreno will have a medical on the 1st of August.

One winger who may be on his way out of the club is Jesús Navas. Cadena SER report that a return to former club, Sevilla, may be on the cards.

Enough of the transfer speculation – Zaba’s back in training! And stil in Manchester after all the Roma rumours.

Finally, it is nice to end the ‘City Summary’ with some nice words from former City man, Nigel de Jong. Oh when De Jong goes sliding in…

And there we have it, the end of a very busy day of City news. Be sure to keep informed with all things City during the day here and on Twitter at @City_Watch.
