City had been battling it out with Borussia Dortmund for the 19-year-old sensation and it’s City that came out on top due to Zinchenko’s desire to link up with new City manager Pep Guardiola.
His agent told us to expect news on Monday and that news has arrived as Zinchenko joins an ever-growing list of confirmed City signings so far this summer – which includes Gundogan, Mooy and Nolito.
It’s expected that City’s latest recruit will continue his development elsewhere on a loan deal, with a view to promote him into the first team at a later date.
The details of the move haven’t yet been announced, but make sure you follow us on Twitter for the latest updates.
One thing is for sure, Pep’s project is gaining a large amount of momentum and will continue to do so whilst approaching the start of the season.
