Prototypes of the new Manchester City home shirt for the 16/17 season have been flying around for a while now, but it appears that the final version is just as we thought – as confirmed on the Manchester City ticket website.
It’s tough to say whether it was accidentally posted on the webpage, however an image of Sergio Aguero in the new shirt has surfaced – which isn’t available on all devices, as some will still see image’s of Sergio Aguero in the old shirt. It’s been a busy few days at City HQ that’s for sure, so who can blame a little mistake (if it is a mistake)?
Here’s how the new kit is described: “Based on Nike’s new AeroSwift jersey template, the Manchester City home shirt is light blue, with the sleeves offset in navy and light blue. The Man City 2016-17 comes with a simple collar and the lettering City on the back.
The front of the new Nike Manchester City 16-17 home kit comes with the new club crest that was revealed some months ago.
The most remarkable feature of the new Nike Manchester City 16-17 home kit, apart from the logo, will however be the shorts and socks colour combination; for the first time in club history, the Manchester City home kit will consists of a sky blue shirt, sky blue shorts and white socks.”
