It’s no secret that Nolito is set to join Pep Guardiola’s revolution at Manchester City. His own uncle said it, as have reputable news sources across Europe. The only remaining question has been when will it happen? With Spain now eliminated from Euro 2016, the answer is soon… very soon!
According to John Percy in the Telegraph tonight, there isn’t much longer to wait for the 29-year-old Spain winger to sign from Celta Vigo.
Percy reports that Nolito is flying in to England and will undergo a City medical in the next 24 hours or so. As is well known now, City will pay just £13.8 million for the late blooming winger, the cost of his release clause at Celta.
Nolito will be Pep Guardiola’s second signing, but not his last. The Telegraph also reports that John Stones is a priority target and that City may have to pay around £40 million for the Everton and England defender.
