Manchester City want to keep Yaya Touré, claims agent Seluk

Manchester City want to keep hold of Yaya Touré for another year, his controversial agent Dimitri Seluk has told FCInterNews today.

Asked the current situation with Yaya, Seluk said: “At the moment there is no news in particular. Yaya is a Manchester City player. We will see what happens.”

He was then asked what is holding back a move to Inter for Yaya and became a little more revealing, replying: “Two things, basically. City want to continue focusing on him and keep him for next season, but that is normal because Yaya is a great player. In addition to this, Inter have some constrants linked to Financial Fair Play.”

So what are the chances of him relocating to Milan this summer? Seluk answered: “I don’t know, we’ll see. Of course it’d be easier to see him in Milan at the end of next season when his contract expires.”

Seluk didn’t rule out the possibility of 33-year-old Touré joining Inter this summer, but his comments strongly suggested a deal could be difficult and that the talismanic midfielder could remain at the Etihad for one more year. The saga continues…
