Manchester City have pulled off a coup by signing 15-year-old Benjamin Garré, one of Argentina’s most promising teenage prospects.
The youngster, who was also a target of Barcelona and Manchester United, has been speaking of his move to England.
“I won’t let this opportunity with City pass. Every player dreams of it. It’s a gift from God,” the attacking midfielder told ‘La Pelota al 10’, adding that “going to Manchester City is a very nice opportunity, and I decided with my family that it was best to go.”
Garré said he has the chance to live in Manchester and believes he will mature a lot through this experience. City made an offer to his club, Velez Sarsfield, earlier this week, and an agreement was quickly reached.
The youngster previously trained with United, but in the end decided on a move to Pep Guardiola’s side and the most impressive academy facilities in England.
