Chelsea 0-3 City: player ratings

JOE HART – 7

Made a good save from Loftus-Cheek but was otherwise a spectator. Another clean sheet though!

PABLO ZABALETA – 7

Rightly subbed off in the second half, but he did constantly pose a threat going forward, linking up well with Navas. On the defensive side, had problems against Pedro.

NICOLAS OTAMENDI – 8

Excellent again. His partnership with Mangala is blossoming. The two look formidable and this is showing in their respective performances.

ELIAQUIM MANGALA – 8

Another superb display. He pocketed Costa and is growing in both stature and maturity.

ALEKSANDAR KOLAROV – 7

Dealt with the threat of Willian excellently, and was constantly an outlet going forward.

JESUS NAVAS – 7

Caused Rahman Baba all sorts of problems. Provided some good crosses and defended diligently.

YAYA TOURE – 8

Back to his imperious best. Full of energy, and his passing to start attacks was fantastic throughout. Also showcased his trademark Yaya runs.

FERNANDINHO – 8

Excellent all game, his surge created the third goal, and in truth he’s arguably been our best player this season.

SAMIR NASRI – 8

Another impressive showing. His pass for Aguero’s second was sublime and perfectly weighted. Just hope his injury isn’t too serious.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE – 8

How good is he? Full of running and quality, creating both the first and second goals. Where would we be now if he hadn’t sustained his injury?

SERGIO AGUERO – 9 (Man of the Match)

City’s hat-trick hero looks back to his best. Took his goals coolly and was a menace for Chelsea throughout.

SUBS:

BACARY SAGNA – 7

Brought on after 60 minutes to fill in for Zabaleta and he was stellar, sharp in the tackle and solid defensively.

FABIAN DELPH – N/A

No time to mark.

KELECHI IHEANACHO – N/A

No time to mark.
