On This Day – April 7: 10-man City leave Old Trafford with a draw

On April 7 in City history…

1984: Manchester City beat Swansea City away at Vetch Field for the first time in 33 years. The Blues were in total control, and goals from Derek Parlane and Steve Kinsey saw them head back to Manchester with the three points.

1992: 10-man City leave Old Trafford with a point after a pulsating derby against local rivals Manchester United. Keith Curle scored the only goal from the penalty spot City in a 1-1 draw before 46,000 fans at Old Trafford.
