Bournemouth 0-4 City: player ratings

WILLY CABALLERO – 7

A quiet game with little to do, but maintained his concentration and made a sensational save in the first half. His distribution from the back, one of best features, was excellent.

PABLO ZABALETA – 7

Back to his imperious self with a fine performance. Always a willing runner down the right, linking up superbly with Navas at times.

NICOLAS OTAMENDI – 7

Another solid performance. Made a great tackle on O’Kane in the second half, and looked comfortable alongside Mangala against a fairly limited Bournemouth attack.

ELIAQUIM MANGALA – 7

Like Otamendi, didn’t have a lot to do, but he dealt with anything Bournemouth threw at him. This performance should give him a lot of confidence ahead of the PSG fixture.

GAEL CLICHY – 8

Carries on with his impressive vein of form. Tireless down the left, and defensively excellent. Will almost certainly start against PSG.

JESUS NAVAS – 7

Picked out a superb cross for Aguero’s goal, and was a threat all game. Holds the width on the right hand side so well.

FERNANDO – 8

Another hugely impressive performance from Fernando. Scored a sumptuous volley, a rare goal for him, and was a hugely effective shield in front of the back four.

FERNANDINHO – 7

Ran the game in midfield, his energy and passing were both outstanding. Will need to be at his best on Wednesday against a mighty impressive PSG midfield.

DAVID SILVA – 8

This was the Silva of old. His deft touch for De Bruyne’s goal was phenomenal, and he played with a lot more freedom and confidence.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE – 9 (Man of the Match)

The ginger prince is back! Involved in everything on an outstanding return. Scored a fantastic volley, before providing a nicely weighted pass for Navas to assist Aguero. He’s a pleasure to watch and it’s great to see him back.

SERGIO AGUERO – 8

His leap for his goal was sensational. Worked tirelessly and could have had a couple more. Will be hugely important to our hopes of getting something in Paris.

SUBS:

ALEKSANDAR KOLAROV – 7

Came on to protect the left-hand side, and not only did his job but scored a ferocious Kolarocket in injury time.

SAMIR NASRI – 6

Great to have him back. Samir looked rusty as expected, but he’ll be an important player until the end of the season.

KELECHI IHEANACHO – N/A

No time to mark.
