On This Day – March 29: City draw at the Emirates en route to the Premier League title

On March 29 in City history…

1994: Despite goals from Uwe Rösler and Paul Walsh, Manchester City can only draw away at Ipswich. It was a familiar result, with the Blues having drawn four of their five games prior, but a three-match winning streak to follow would cheer up the City faithful as the season neared its conclusion.

2014: City draw 1-1 away at Arsenal as the club push for their second Premier League title in three years. David Silva opened the scoring at the Emirates, before Mathieu Flamini equalised for Arsenal in the second half. It turned out to be a great point for City at a notoriously difficult stadium to get a result from.

Happy Birthday: Ian Davies (59)
