Guardiola sets up shop in Manchester – Krispy Kreme, here we come!

One of the more interesting snippets to come out over the weekend is that Senor Guardiola has already been working out of Manchester for over two years.

Nope, that wasn’t Pep you saw at Krispy Kreme in Piccadilly Gardens the other month, but it could well have been his brother, Pere, taking his lunch amongst the pigeons and Berlin-esque concrete.

Sunday Mirror journalist Simon Mullock stated in a much-wider piece how Pep’s agent sibling relocated their Media Base Sport agency from London to central Manchester back in October 2013.

Not for Pere, a swanky office in Spinningfields – the more aptly-named CityTower on Manchester’s Piccadilly Plaza – fits the bill.

Along with business partner, Jaime Roures, a long-time associate of our chief executive, Ferran Soriano, he already represents a stable of players which include City starlets Pablo Maffeo and Brahim Diaz, dubbed ‘Mini Messi’ back in Spain.

Throw in the fact Pere and Roures also agreed to buy an 80 per cent stake in Girona, last year, our subsequent transactions with the Spanish second division club, the linkage only adds to the Pep-to-City-pot.

We’re pretty sure Pere’s business portfolio takes him far and wide.

Dare we suggest that when the time does call for it, however, he grabs himself a Cookie Crunch combo and an umbrella?

That way, he’ll at least be prepared for all the shit, overhead, and can taste the sweet smell of success all at the same time!
