Manchester United have again ‘let it be known’ they are not competing to acquire the services of Pep Guardiola.
The Old Trafford flux-capacitor is in full-on crank mode, in light of Pep announcing earlier this week that he will be coming to the Premier League this summer.
Only last month, a very senior United executive briefed to an open-mouthed press core they were not interested in the Bayern coach, and were happy with Louis van Gaal.
Guardiola’s insistence he has not yet signed an agreement with any club, has inevitably opened the floodgates in some of the English nationals.
United, however, have seemingly reacted quickly, with the club keen to underline their previous stance.
Manchester Evening News reporter Stuart Mathieson has excellent sources as that newspaper’s United correspondent.
Today’s exclusive back page headline reads ‘Pep’s Yours’ – with the insistence United believe a deal is already done between Pep and City and there is no battle to be had.
The article goes on to state United are adamant van Gaal will also be sticking around.
In terms of a good news story, it ticks all the boxes as far as everyone here at City Watch is concerned!
